Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce names CEO

There is a new leader at the helm of the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce. Sarah Firstenberger has been named CEO of the nonprofit that promotes businesses and organizations on Siesta Key.

Firstenberger, according to a statement, comes to the Siesta Key Chamber from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, where she was most recently the director of marketing and events. Before that, she was the executive director of Sarasota-Manatee Originals, which champions independent restaurants.

”A Sarasota local, Sarah brings more than a decade of experience in audience engagement and experiential programming,” Siesta Key Chamber Board Chair Eric Fleming says in the statement. “She’s a creative powerhouse with a deep understanding of what makes our community shine, and how to share that story with the world.”

Firstenberger has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of South Florida, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Her focus for the chamber will be on growing visibility, amplifying members’ voices and celebrating what makes the island community special, she writes on LinkedIn.

“I’m honored to step into this role and serve a place I love so deeply,” Firstenberger says in a statement. “Siesta Key is not just a destination – it’s a way of life. I look forward to working with our members, partners, and residents to ensure the Chamber continues to thrive and evolve with purpose.”

The Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce, according to its website, has 400 members. It promotes a strong local economy through marketing, member services and tourism.
